Financial Consultant

About the role

Nusenda Credit Union is seeking a Part-Time Financial Consultant to join our Uptown Branch. The position requires working 30 hours per week, with open availability Monday-Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Aid members with their financial needs through a consultative approach.
• Educate members on value-added products/services to meet individual needs, including account openings/closings, consumer loans (excluding home loans), and answering product/service inquiries.
• Refer members to specialized departments as needed.
• Support the Teller line as needed.
• Handle problem resolution within your authority level.
• Process transactions according to established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations with high accuracy.

Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Teller and Platform Operations.
• Ability to provide exceptional service.
• Accuracy in handling numbers, procedural details, processing, and balancing negotiable instruments.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, handle sensitive information, and resolve problems.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.

• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in-person, email, etc.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
