About the Role

Provides expert financial advice, guidance and counsel supporting business objectives and decisions. Researches, evaluates and interprets financial data using advanced and emerging financial techniques and tools. Responsible for providing consulting services to internal customers through participation on projects or corporate initiatives. Acts as the primary liaison with assigned business project teams to ensure successful achievement of project objectives and goals. Develops, designs, tests and documents system changes or upgrades. Coordinates with various departments in preparation for services provided by external organizations (i.e. benchmarking, exams, audits, etc). Leads, facilitates and monitors the financial segment of large complex projects and department initiatives. Conducts research activities to determine and communicate financial implications resulting from reorganization, benchmark comparisons, reporting entity changes and merger/acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex financial models using macros and other advanced spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel) and experience using other software applications and/or reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Provide oversight to less senior employees in the quality of work product
  • Analyze technical issues and complex financial data and develop sound conclusions
  • Design and implement medium to large projects
  • Identify and resolve problems
  • Develop automated forecasts and budgets
  • Design and implement complex corporate/finance projects, including preparing cost justification, proposals, and risk assessments
  • Prepare business plans, proposals, and cost-benefit analysis for long-range strategic plans/initiatives
  • Perform in-depth analysis of statistical and financial data compared with peers, industry, corporate targets, and history
  • Analyze product profitability, pricing, and other complex mathematical analyses
  • Develop and implement business simulation/models
  • Analyze complex financial data
  • Develop and implement new financial analytical and reporting systems
  • Communicate effectively with others in a work environment
  • Prepare and present written and oral reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
  • Experience equivalent to a senior position within Finance/Accounting or other related fields
  • Strong organizational, planning, time management, and administrative skills demonstrated through work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex information clearly to all levels of employees, including senior executives

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Consulting
  • Experience developing cost-benefit analyses (CBAs), business cases, and investment recommendations
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including IRR, NPV, ROI, and payback analysis
  • Experience with capital budgeting, forecasting, and project financial oversight
  • Ability to identify and validate efficiency improvements, productivity gains, and FTE savings
  • Experience conducting post-implementation reviews and benefits realization assessments
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar financial planning tools
  • Experience with capital governance, investment committees, or enterprise transformation initiatives

Work Environment

This position works from a home office location. Depending on the role, some employees may be required to come into the office, at a minimum, for important departmental meetings or team-building events.

Pay

Competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance.

Time Off & Leave

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based on standard weekly hours scheduled to work and accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month
  • Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays, and 1 volunteer day. Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays
