Financial Care Agent - Columbus

Responsibilities

• Serves as front-line support for Patient Financial Care within Piedmont.
• Handles and resolves in-person, telephonic or digital customer inquiries and/or concerns by providing patients/guarantors from both hospitals and physician practices with a consistent and seamless experience.
• Fulfills follow-up on and collection of pre-service, at-service or outstanding guarantor balances when required.
• Provides information on estimated cost of services, verifies coverage, secures authorization, makes appointments, and explains insurance benefits and information on financial resources to patients/guarantors.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience Required
• 5 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience with a focus in Financial Counseling is desired
• Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
• Certified Healthcare Financial Management Association
