FINANCIAL ASSOCIATE

About the role

This position supports the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine, the Engelhardt Research Lab and the Cystic Fibrosis Center in areas of procurement and ordering, supply chain management and financial support.

Responsibilities

• Maintains budget monitoring and reporting
• Prepares grants and contracts
• Monitors financial databases and produces reports
• Reconciles accounts
• Sets up financial tracking systems
• Interfaces with purchasing department and vendors
• Supervises staff (if applicable)
• May have human resources related responsibilities
• May interface with external institutions to establish grants and contracts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required
• OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• Preferred: Excellent communication skills, excellent computer skills, UAB financial systems experience

• Salary Range: $16.50 - $26.80
