Financial App Data Contributor, AI Training Project
About the role
US-based contributors are needed for a short-term AI training project involving personal financial-app data. Contributors will download native account-history or activity files from accounts they personally own, use the project’s on-device tool to redact personal and financial identifiers, and submit the cleaned files through the client’s secure platform.
This opportunity is for individuals who actively use several common financial services. Accounts from legitimate regional banks, credit unions, card issuers, and other supported providers may qualify.
What You'll Provide
To complete the project, you must provide native account-history or activity exports from at least six qualifying financial apps or accounts. These may include statements, transaction histories, reports, tax transcripts, or equivalent files in CSV, PDF, XLSX, or OFX formats:
- One bank account
- One credit-card account
- One payment or peer-to-peer app (e.g., PayPal or Venmo)
- One credit-score or credit-reporting app
- One tax-filing service or tax account
- One additional app from an eligible elective category (e.g., investing, budgeting, cryptocurrency, lending, student loans, mortgage, insurance, payroll, or retirement)
The submitted files should generally contain at least one year of recent data and cover reasonably consistent time periods. The project team will provide platform guidance, export instructions, and support for project-related questions. Self-created financial artifacts (e.g., personal budgets) are optional and not required.
Privacy and Project Process
- Download account-history or activity files only from accounts you own and are authorized to use
- Never share account passwords, login credentials, or live account access
- Use the project’s on-device tool to redact personal and financial identifiers locally before uploading
- Only cleaned files should be submitted through the project platform
- Review and accept the project’s consent, privacy, and data-license terms during onboarding before sharing any data
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must currently reside in one of the 50 US states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, or another eligible US territory
- Must have qualifying accounts in all five mandatory categories plus at least one elective category
- Must be able to download native exports containing at least one year of recent account history or activity data across qualifying accounts, covering generally consistent time periods
- Must be comfortable installing and using the project’s local redaction tool and submitting cleaned outputs through the project platform
- Must follow all project instructions and complete any required corrections before Final Approval
Time Commitment
The client estimates completion may take approximately 20-30 minutes if all account-history or activity exports are already available. Retrieving files and completing the full workflow may take approximately 60-90 minutes, depending on the institutions and account history. These are estimates, not guaranteed completion times.
Pay
Compensation is $350 USD for one completed submission that receives Final Approval. Partially completed, rejected, or unfinished submissions are not eligible for payment.
