Financial Analyst - Year Round (On-Site)
Position Summary
The Financial Analyst is a strategic business partner who drives informed decision-making across resort operations. This role leverages financial modeling, economic trend analysis, and capital planning to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight for Resort Leadership.
Essential Duties
Financial Analysis & Forecasting: Conduct detailed financial analysis that informs business decisions and shapes resort strategy. Monitor economic trends and conditions to identify opportunity and risk, translating findings into clear guidance for senior leadership. Build complex, statistically grounded financial models that turn ambiguous questions into confident, strategic recommendations.
Business Partnership & Collaboration: Serve as a business partner to Supervisors, Managers, and Directors across departments, to support budgeting and forecasting process in close collaboration with the Finance Director. Cultivate trusted, cross-departmental relationships across the Resort and with Shared Services teams, anticipating stakeholder needs and helping deliver an exceptional guest experience. Translate complex financial and business information into clear, compelling guidance for audiences at every level of the organization.
Data & Reporting: Partner closely with the accounting shared service team to ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and grounded in accurate data. Collaborate with the data management and shared services team to train managers on financial tools that support data-driven decisions. Champion data integrity and continuously improve reporting tools and processes.
Capital Planning & Project Management: Lead capital project management process to support the Resort capital strategy. Partner with the fixed asset team and Resort project managers across departments to keep capital projects on track, ensuring timely completion.
Qualifications
Required Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insight, skilled communicator who can tailor financial and business information for audiences at every level, high degree of professional integrity, with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision, highly organized, creative problem-solver who follows through and adapts readily to the seasonal rhythm of resort operations.
Success Profile: Operates as a business partner, building strong, cross-departmental relationships with Shared Services team, frontline leaders, and senior stakeholders. Communicates complex financial and operational insight with clarity and confidence. Brings curiosity, sharp critical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Quickly builds business acumen and earns trust across teams and departments. Asks probing questions that challenge the status quo and sharpen decision-making.
First 90 Days & Beyond: Establish cross-departmental relationships with key stakeholders, including Resort Leadership and Shared Services. Develop foundational knowledge of Resort financial tools, reporting processes, and capital planning workflows. Begin contributing data-driven insight to budgeting, forecasting, and capital conversations as an emerging business partner. Within 1 Year: Execute budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes with a high degree of self-sufficiency, under the direction of the Finance Director. Operate as a trusted business partner to Supervisors, Managers, and Directors across the Resort, supporting strategic recommendations with minimal oversight. Deliver proactive, cross-departmental financial insight that influences operational decisions and drives measurable impact.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, or relevant experience required. 2-5 years of experience in financial or business analysis or statistical modeling. Experience in hospitality, resorts, theme parks, or other seasonal/demand-driven environments preferred.
