About the role
The Lead Compensation Analyst at SMG System Medical Group leads, coordinates, and supports provider compensation and revenue cycle analysis for assigned support groups. This role provides analytical support for the development and measurement of production, compensation, and operational targets and models, and coordinates the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of provider compensation plans.
Responsibilities
- Independently analyzes and completes monthly performance reports for non-academic provider practice entities.
- Works closely with regional accountants & practice leaders to assess performance against targets.
- Maintains physician compensation and contract management software for SMG.
- Monitors total compensation payments made to employed and contracted providers to ensure adherence to compensation plan and compliance with Fair Market Value standards.
- Communicates directly with SMG leadership regarding negative variances and rolling projections.
- Continuously monitors revenue cycle performance improvement and margin enhancement opportunities and communicates to Finance and Provider Practice leadership.
- Specific reporting duties include: comparing reimbursement by clinic/provider and payor to ensure consistency across all practice sites; identify potential payor enrollment issues; and monitor and act upon claims denials.
- Directs the payment of Medical Directorships, Call Pay and other non-productivity contractual terms.
- Collaborates with Hospital Finance & Reimbursement team on the completion of larger scale financial projections related to the Provider Practices.
- Analyzes and provides recommendations on compensation model upgrades.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or other related area; Three (3) years of accounting/finance related experience.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; CPA certification; Experience in Healthcare preferred.
