Financial Analyst (Payroll)

This is a hybrid position based out of our Des Moines, IA office.

About the role

SHAZAM is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with payroll data to provide financial analysis, models, and reports to management.

Responsibilities

• Developing financial models and creating reports regarding compensation and benefits.
• Performing variance analysis of payroll information for monthly financial statements.
• Preparing detailed compensation reports for executive management.
• Assisting with development of the budget for compensation and benefits.
• Initiating ACH/Wire transactions for approval; assisting with the bank account reconciliation process.
• Researching, analyzing, and providing recommendations to improve processes.
• Serving as a primary backup for payroll processing and various accounting functions.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years’ experience as a financial analyst preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Access or similar database preferred.
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving and reaching goals.
• Adaptable: you must be able to work in a deadline-driven environment, quickly adapting to change and prioritizing needs.
