Financial Analyst, Marlton
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Onsite for 5-6 weeks, then remote Thursdays and Fridays, and every other Tuesday.
About the role
Responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements, supporting analysis and supplemental schedules. Assists in implementing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles on all financial statements. Supports the Senior Financial Analysts and Finance Management Team in preparing for special projects. Acts as a Finance representative on committees and at meetings as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assists with preparing the Hospital and/or related entity of Virtua Health Financial Statements with GAAP compliance, including Service Group Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis, which are reviewed by Senior Management and Virtua Health Board of Trustees.
- Prepares and assists in the analysis of financial data, such as operating budget detail, statistics, revenue by payer, expense, cash analysis, balance sheets, and provides support to Operational Leadership.
- Assists in preparing and analyzing financial data for Regulatory Agencies including Federal and State, such as IRS 990 tax exempt return, NJ Charitable Registration, Medicare, Medicaid, and State Cost Reports, Bond Compliance, AHA Surveys, etc.
- Assists in ensuring audit compliance through preparation of work papers and analysis for internal and external auditors.
- Provides financial analysis assistance to Managers to adequately monitor operating expenses, budgeting, balance sheet, capital expenditures, and/or cost/benefit or other analysis of existing or proposed services with Decision Support System Tools.
- Collaborates with staff to create best practice standards for financial analysis and documentation.
Requirements
- Zero to three years in general accounting experience to include financial statement preparation.
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of accounting practice and theory, specifically Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals and prioritize work assignments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must have a working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.
Qualifications
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
Pay
$59,559 - $92,649 yearly.
