Financial Analyst - Investment Management Intern (Summer 2027)

About the role

This internship provides the student with the following learning opportunities:

• Internal and external financial reporting procedures
• Financial management concepts used by the company in investment decisions
• Documenting work performed on projects and communicating effectively with supervisors and company personnel
• Interacting with professionals at varying levels of the company
• Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting for internal users and external investors
• Assist with NOI & Capital forecasting analysis; research variances to budget, prior reforecast and prior year
• Support the budget and forecast process:
  • Update the budget/forecast financial template
  • Produce financial/operational KPI reports
  • Load and tie out data between the general ledger system (MRI) and forecasting system (AE)
  • Perform peer/industry/market research as needed
  • Prepare quarterly Board of Directors presentation

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student able to work full-time during the semester in our Cincinnati, OH office
• Current undergraduate student enrolled in a degree-seeking program studying Finance
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Advanced MS Excel modeling skills and strong analytic ability
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a variety of groups internally and externally, including senior executives
• Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team as needed

Nice to Have

• Argus and/or other portfolio analysis software experience
• MRI software or similar accounting database experience
• Prior internship experience performing corporate financial analysis and modeling
