Financial Analyst III (Financial Operations)

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and support to the Code Enforcement & Compliance division to ensure resource availability and cost alignment.
• Possess business analyst skills and work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral skills, critical and creative thinking, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and stakeholders.
• Manage operations budget across multiple funds.
• Collaborate with multi-departmental operational teams.
• Leverage data to analyze performance variances, identify trends, and forecast operational impacts on financial outcomes.
• Assist in building and managing Power BI dashboards.
• Track and analyze performance measures.
• Develop financial models for data‑driven recommendations and financial forecasting.
• Lead and foster an environment rooted in respect, inclusion, and teamwork.
• Support new and innovative ideas through collaboration and brainstorming.
• Interpret operating performance results to assess and forecast financial impacts and make recommendations for improvement opportunities.
• Maintain Power BI dashboards and implement requested modifications in partnership with business units.
• Assist in converting existing reports into automated workflows and reports.
• Assist with gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex operational data to explain fluctuations in performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to management at all levels.
• Partner with operational teams for KPI management, development, and analysis.
• Assist with analyzing financial data and preparing monthly financial statements and reports; perform additional analysis for explanatory text required for reports and statements.
• Coordinate and prepare annual budgets, updates, and strategic plans for assigned areas.
