FINANCIAL ANALYST III
Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
- Reconciling daily Revenue reports, payment reports, post pay reports.
- Reconciling various adjustment balances, pulling support backup for audit purposes.
- Preparing Journal Entry for daily billing, weekly and month end closing.
- Analyzing and updating various monthly financial reports.
- Performing other duties as requested by Division and Department Head.
Working Conditions
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. The position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, as with occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of a video display terminal.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in finance, economics, budget analysis or a closely related area are required.
- A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the above experience requirement.
- No required licence.
PREFERENCES
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the following:
- SAP and Advanced MS Excel
- Revenue accounting and auditing
- Analytical financial operations’ research skill
- Knowledge of municipal budgeting, accounting, and reporting procedures
- Cost Allocation and daily accounting processing
