About the role
As a Financial Analyst I, you will perform research work and prepare financial analysis necessary to make essential corporate planning decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
- Respond to rate and budget questions; provide explanations to ensure management understanding.
- Build necessary relationships and alliances through delivery of meaningful, accurate, and timely results on a consistent basis.
- Review financial data and maintain documented records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and budget area.
- Apply knowledge and experience to provide credible, action-oriented analysis and recommendations to management.
- Report weekly actuals and forecast profitability, including but not limited to weekly bill-out by warehouse, sales, cost of goods sold, ad loss, clearance/markdowns, shrink, and procurement revenue. This involves trend analysis, economic research (macro/micro), and comparative analysis.
- Provide interpretation and explanation in a summary format delivered to senior management.
- Work on ad hoc strategy-focused projects that aid senior management in business decision-making.

Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience.
Skills
- Strong analytical and time management skills.

- Intermediate PC skills.
- Ability to successfully communicate with and influence upper-level management.
- Ability to produce work that impacts management decisions and business results.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects from conception to implementation.

Working Conditions
