Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets.
- Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
- Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
- Employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
- Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending.
- Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
- Conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
- Cook up financial activities across various stakeholders.
- Manage finances across multiple funding types.
- Track budgets, costs, and variances.
- Produce executive summaries.
- Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
- Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
- Interpret and apply financial management principles.
- Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. For an IV, a Master's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
- Experience: Depending on the YOE below:
- For a I, 0 YOE required.
- For a II, 3 YOE required.
- For a III, 7 YOE required.
- For a IV, 10 YOE required.
