About the Opportunity
The Financial Analyst I supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function by developing and maintaining financial models, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial insights that drive business decisions. This role enhances reporting tools and participates in system improvements, contributing to data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and maintaining the multi-year financial plan
- Develop and enhance revenue, recovery, and financial models with variance analysis
- Prepare and update forecasts and financial projections
- Analyze financial results against budgets and forecasts, communicating insights
- Support management reporting including financial statements and KPI tracking
- Contribute to financial target development and modeling improvements
- Maintain reporting tools and business intelligence solutions ensuring data accuracy
- Review and update operational incentive models and bonus calculators
- Support system implementations and reporting enhancements
- Identify opportunities for reporting automation and data integrity improvements
- Participate in special projects including operational analysis and efficiency initiatives
- Adopt new technologies to improve financial analysis and workflows
- Follow the organization's professional practices, code of conduct, and compliance programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience; MBA preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or related field preferred
- Strong Excel skills including formulas and modeling fundamentals; advanced skills preferred
- Analytical and quantitative problem-solving experience preferred
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Experience with business intelligence or reporting tools preferred
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies, including AI-supported tools
- Ability to telework with a secure internet connection and private workspace
- U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent resident status with eligibility for government security clearance
- No conflicts of interest with the organization or its clients
