Financial Analyst - Grants

Job Summary

This position performs duties associated with grant funding under the supervision of the Grant Compliance Manager. Duties include financial planning and analysis projects, grant budget monitoring, monthly reporting, and assisting with grant reporting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in preparing District grant and general fund financial plans.
• Utilize tools for budget and forecast preparation analysis and associated presentation.
• Create and organize grant reports for executive quality presentations.
• Research as needed to develop annual Grant Financial Plan documents.
• Maintain the Grant District budget throughout the fiscal year.
• Prepare grant exception reports summarizing specific areas of emphasis.
• Monitor grant position management activity and track changes.
• Review and monitor school and department grant budgets.
• Provide excellent customer service through a strategic financial relationship with site-level grant budget owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting or equivalent certifications with two (2) years of related experience.
• Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience working in public education preferred.
• Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds preferred.
• Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.

Pay

Salary: $61,358+ (Actual Salary will be based on skills, competencies, and like experience. See attached Manager/Technical Salary Schedule for full range of pay.)
