Purpose of Role
The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role at Marex is responsible for providing reliable data and analysis for monthly financial reporting and analysis. The role prepares accurate monthly financial reports and assists in the development of models and dashboards that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute monthly payout reports for internal brokers.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly customer profitability reporting.
- Create internal dashboard for customer profitability reporting.
- Update variance analysis reports and financial models and enhance models when possible.
- Analyze monthly financial results and investigate inconsistencies and variances.
- Produce daily reports as required.
- Aid in the month-end close process (reporting/consolidation activities).
- Seek opportunities to automate the financial reporting processes.
- Aid with various ad-hoc projects, analysis, presentation requests, and process improvements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
- At least three to five (3-5) years' of experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Excel modelling required.
- Experience in Essbase/SmartView and PeopleSoft software preferred.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, and Tableau preferred.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting processes, procedures, and GAAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
Benefits
Marex offers a salary range of $80,000 to $115,000 per year and eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Marex also provides benefits including:
