Financial Analyst, Corporate FP&A

About the role

Bloomin’ Brands is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join the dynamic Corporate Finance team. The Corporate Finance team is comprised of consolidated Financial Planning & Analysis, International and Non-Core Entities Brand Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Investor Relations. This position offers exposure to our senior executive leadership team. Successful candidates have a bias towards action and an intellectual curiosity to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support our international business, the consolidation and analysis of concept and corporate level planning and forecasting, analyzing key operational and business trends, and supporting cross-functional teams as well as wider Bloomin' Brands requests as needed.
• Perform monthly financial and business analysis of our international results vs. forecasted expectations utilizing the general ledger, subsystems, financial statements and collaboration with cross-functional teams; include insights into trends and performance versus forecasts as appropriate.
• Prepare schedules and perform analysis to support board level reporting, external financial reporting, treasury, and investor relations teams.
• Liaise with business leads to gather information, and provide reporting and information as needed in order to facilitate informed financial decisions to achieve financial targets.
• Assist in the development and modeling of the consolidated strategic long-range plan including balance sheet & cash flow modeling, and scenario planning/management.
• Participate in meetings with Senior Management on trends and financial data.
• Maintain various industry benchmarking metrics and analysis.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, required.
• MBA or Master’s in Accounting preferred.

Skills

• 1+ years of financial analysis, public accounting and/or financial reporting or corporate accounting experience with a general understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement presentation.
• Commitment to continuous process improvement with the ability to work independently at times while being flexible to changing business needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work in teams.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, required.
• Retail industry experience, preferred.

Schedule

This role is based in our Tampa, FL Restaurant Support Center and will work a hybrid schedule (mix of onsite and remote).
