This role supports a leading Houston-based broker team within Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Equity Debt & Structured Finance (EDSF) group, representing owners of all major property types with an emphasis on Texas, the Southeastern U.S., and national markets. The Financial Analyst will assist in all phases of the financing process, working on-site at the Houston office located at 1330 Post Oak Blvd. Occasional travel and work outside normal operating hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare debt and/or equity offering memoranda that convey all transaction particulars in a professionally written format for clients and lenders, including financial projections, market and location analysis, tenant analysis, and persuasive summaries.
- Manage the graphic design process of debt and equity memoranda, collaborating with graphic designers to create tables, graphs, charts, and technical summaries.
- Prepare debt sizings to determine possible financing options for each deal.
- Build and analyze financial models in Excel and Argus to outline valuation and pricing structures for clients.
- Assist in collecting and evaluating due diligence for transactions, ensuring timely receipt of required information from clients.
- Prepare pro forma statements and projections reflecting historical cash flow performance, current market conditions, and future projections.
- Research, analyze, and evaluate market feasibility for real estate transactions to support financing requests.
- Review real estate documents (leases, operating statements, rent rolls, loan documents, appraisals) to identify issues or inconsistencies.
- Generate weekly written reports and updates for senior brokers on transaction marketing status.
- Collect lender and investor bids, summarizing them in detailed quote matrices.
- Prepare and manage lists of potential lenders, investors, and contacts for marketing efforts; respond to lender inquiries.
- Assist brokers in closing transactions by following checklists and interacting with lenders and clients to facilitate efficient closings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field; master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- 1 to 2 years of commercial real estate financial analysis and/or finance experience, preferably with a firm engaged in consulting, appraisal, investing, lending, or brokerage. Capital Markets experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to build, analyze, and summarize complex financial models in Excel and Argus.
- Excellent written communication skills for developing high-level analysis summaries.
- Passion for client delivery, emphasizing high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating strong personal initiative in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented setting while functioning independently with limited day-to-day supervision.

Pay
$68,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, qualifications, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
