About the role

Vernovis is partnering with a global sourcing and apparel organization headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. With more than 440 associates across 10 countries, our client has over 40 years of experience delivering sourcing, production oversight, design, distribution, and manufacturing management services to customers around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
  • Produce recurring financial reports, including key performance metrics, financial results, and variance analysis.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities across the organization and provide actionable insights.
  • Aid in the maintenance of current financial management systems and support future platform development initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership and business stakeholders to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and support for special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
  • 2-4 years of general finance experience
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Variance analysis and reporting
  • Operating expense and spend analysis
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Gross margin, sales margin, or profitability analysis
  • Financial reporting and KPI tracking
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Serving business operations rather than banking, investment, or capital markets functions
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with senior levels of management
  • Ambitious, assertive, self-motivated and conscientious
  • Ability to adapt to change and operate in a dynamic organization, while also managing competing priorities
  • Comfortable and effective in challenging business assumptions in a constructive manner
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within teams
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office suite needed (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint applications)

Qualifications

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting processes.
  • Experience working within a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.
  • Exposure to financial management systems and reporting platforms.
