Financial Analyst
About the Role
The Financial Analyst provides financial management and budget execution support for a Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Program Management Activity (PMA). This role is responsible for budget planning, financial tracking, reconciliation, reporting, and supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs using various Navy and Department of Defense financial systems. The analyst collaborates with Program Managers and stakeholders to prepare financial reports, monitor expenditures, support budget reviews, and ensure accurate financial documentation while contributing to mission-critical defense programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical discipline.
- Associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
- Four additional years of relevant professional experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional financial management or budget analysis experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Requirements
- Support budget development, execution tracking, and financial management activities.
- Maintain and organize financial databases using Navy and DoD financial systems.
- Track financial documents through routing and approval processes.
- Aid in Financial Management Reviews (FMR), Program Management Reviews (PMR), budget drills, and spend plan reviews.
- Coordinate with Program Managers and Resource Sponsors on budget planning and execution.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly financial reviews.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial information.
