About the role
The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia’s largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Our focus is on long-term health, effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support.
- Prepare reports, projections, and recommendations based on financial data.
- Evaluate current and historical financial performance to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities across departments.
- Perform monthly financial reporting, operational analysis, and variance reporting.
- Maintain TSPMG position requests and track approved positions reviewed by leadership.
- Maintain cost accounting systems and related reporting tools.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and data support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Auxiliary with special projects and internal audits as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited program, OR equivalent professional experience in finance or accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
- Proficiency with SQL Server or similar database reporting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field.
- Experience with Cognos budgeting/forecasting systems or similar tools.
- Experience in healthcare, managed care, hospital systems, or large physician practices.
- Experience with cost accounting platforms such as EPSI or Strata.
- Public accounting or internal audit experience.
- Project management experience.
