Financial Analyst
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators to support business planning and decision-making.
- Build and maintain financial models that forecast revenue, profitability, and long-range performance scenarios.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and detailed analyses for leadership to address emerging business questions and strategic priorities.
- Review budget-to-actual results, identify material variances, and communicate the drivers behind financial performance.
- Use data mining techniques to gather, organize, and interpret large data sets for actionable financial insights.
- Support corporate financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to explain findings clearly and provide practical financial guidance.
- Ensure work aligns with applicable financial services regulations, licensing standards, and compliance expectations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial advising, investment support, or a related financial services role.
- Active Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, or Series 63 and 65 in combination.
- Current Life, Health, and Variable Annuity insurance licenses.
- A certification such as CFP or CFA is required.
- Demonstrated strength in financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
- Working knowledge of securities regulations and compliance standards at the federal and state level.
- Proven ability to build trust, communicate complex financial concepts clearly, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Experience in a broker-dealer setting, familiarity with advisor technology tools, bilingual ability, or credit union exposure is a plus.
