Responsibilities
- Create regular financial summaries, dashboards, and decision-support reports for leadership teams.
- Contribute to the annual budget cycle, forecast updates, and ongoing comparisons between expected and actual performance.
- Examine operating results and financial patterns to highlight key trends, potential concerns, and areas of opportunity.
- Aid in month-end activities by preparing reporting materials and reviewing account-level financial data.
- Work with department managers to discuss budget performance, spending activity, and planning assumptions.
- Build and maintain financial models that support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Prepare reporting packages for executive, board, and departmental audiences with clear and relevant financial insights.
- Respond to audit-related requests and complete additional financial analysis projects as business needs arise.
- Recommend improvements that enhance reporting efficiency and help preserve accurate data across finance and accounting systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or a closely related area is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc analysis with strong accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills and solid proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.
- Experience working with accounting or financial reporting platforms such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or Power BI is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret large data sets and present meaningful conclusions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and across functional teams.
- Proven discretion in handling sensitive financial information and managing deadlines in a detail-oriented environment.
