Financial Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

LogistiQ is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will analyze past product costing and pricing to predict future performance and advise the company on its financial strategy. Responsibilities include analyzing business and financial data, creating financial models, developing financial plans and reports, evaluating capital expenditures and depreciation, and developing automated reporting and forecasting tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes business and financial data
• Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making
• Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders
• Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends
• Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation
• Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
• Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis
• Thorough understanding of project management
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (Spreadsheets)
• Working knowledge of accounting, database, and other manufacturing software preferred
• Successful completion of 90-day probationary period

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
• Two years of professional experience as an accountant or auditor preferred
• Must have knowledge of accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working with ERP systems (Syteline) preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting
• Frequent interaction with the shop floor
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles
• Mixed noise level in the work environment
• Air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather
