Essential Duties
- Develop detailed variance and trend analysis reports for senior leadership and department heads.
- Assist in regulatory reporting (e.g., Medicare cost reports, Medicaid, UDS) and compliance audits.
- Lead the financial tracking and reporting of capital projects and expenditures, including new construction, renovations, and equipment purchases.
- Maintain detailed capital expenditure reports and dashboards, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and capital planning objectives.
- Partner with Facilities, Supply Chain, and IT to monitor project timelines, spending, and funding sources (e.g., debt, grants, philanthropic funds).
- Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Analyze project cash flow projections and funding schedules and identify variances between forecasted and actual capital spending.
- Affiliate with scenario modeling for strategic capital investments, acquisitions, and expansion projects.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Decision Support
- Support the development of the annual operating and capital budgets by providing historical analysis, key assumptions, and forecasting tools.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to evaluate departmental performance and resource utilization.
- Build and maintain complex financial models for multi-year planning and "what-if" scenarios.
System & Process Improvements
- Lead initiatives to automate reporting processes and improve financial system functionality (e.g., ERP/BI tools).
- Identify and implement the best practices in capital tracking and financial analytics.
