Financial Analyst

About the role

The Financial Analyst will manage and drive improvement in financial reporting, planning and analysis under the direction of the FP&A Director. This role requires preparation of long-range plans, annual plans and quarterly forecasts, performing weekly cash flow analysis and forecasting, preparing financial reports, developing KPIs, and monitoring progress.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of long-range plans, annual plans and quarterly forecasts
• Perform weekly cash flow analysis and forecasting
• Prepare financial reports comparing actual results against budgets and prior year results
• Serve as the key analytical role supporting strategy and planning
• Develop KPI's and monitor progress against a reporting dashboard
• Ad Hoc projects involving analysis and reporting
• Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3+ years of business experience with significant forecasting, planning and analysis experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong business acumen and judgment
• Ability to build relationships with other parts of the business
• Ability to simplify and communicate financial issues with associates and vendors outside of Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products; expertise in MS Excel
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
