About the role
Analysts at Avison Young are expected to provide extraordinary customer service by preparing financial analyses and/or offering memorandums through a detailed, orderly presentation of the data, facts, and figures that can lead an investor to make a well-educated decision about the sale of commercial real estate. Candidates should display an outstanding academic record and possess excellent communication and organizational skills; they should be comfortable working within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment and liaise with both internal and external clients, team members, and senior deal makers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial analyses and offer memorandums
- Work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
- Liaise with both internal and external clients, team members, and senior deal makers
- Display proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modeling skills with the ability to perform discounted cash flow analyses
- Show a proven record of achievement in Argus software
- Have a minimum of 2 years of commercial real estate analytical experience
Requirements
- Understanding of real estate fundamentals with a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a financial analysis environment in the mortgage or commercial real estate industry
- Argus experience is a plus
- Strong command and efficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, detail-oriented with strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing, and communication skills; able to interface with top-level executives
- Able to work under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and effectively manage workload
- Able to work independently with an energetic and enthusiastic team player attitude
- Strong interest in Real Estate
Qualifications
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
- A Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
