Financial Analyst, Amazon Music Merch Finance

Description

Alexa Music is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our Music Merch business. This position will play a key role in driving business growth by supporting deal evaluations, performance reporting and insights, and process building and enhancements.

Key job responsibilities

• Own, refine, and develop key areas of our deal valuation models and royalty reporting
• Work with the business team to build business models, pricing strategies, and value propositions and drive near-term and long-term forecasting
• Collaborate with and present to the senior leadership team on a regular basis
• Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations
• Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience
• 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
• Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
• 1+ years of experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
