Financial Analysis Specialist

About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a Full Time Financial Analyst to support the USAF Sensitive Activities at JBSA Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. This position involves auditing PCS/TDY claims, troubleshooting DTS, leading voucher compliance under JTR/DoDFMR, certifying fiscal transactions, and providing strategic financial guidance to USAF leaders and DFAS.

Responsibilities

• Audit PCS/TDY claims
• Troubleshoot DTS
• Lead voucher compliance under JTR/DoDFMR
• Certify fiscal transactions
• Provide strategic financial guidance to USAF leaders & DFAS

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Initial and periodic short notice drug testing
• TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
• Knowledge of military pay and allowances, allotments, leave rules and regulations
• Mastery of related financial regulations and rulings
• Knowledge of USAF financial management principles, theories, procedures and applications
• Knowledge of DoD, DFAS, and USAF financial management objectives, auditing, accounting and disbursing missions
• Knowledge of automated financial management and accounting systems

• Knowledge of automated financial management and accounting systems
• Ability to plan and organize work, meet deadlines
• Interpret financial reports, schedules, & statements
• Planning, coordinating, and executing financial and budgetary actions
• Understanding AF and DoD automated financial and budgetary management and pay systems
