Job Summary and Description

Provides standard administrative, technical, production services or information that supports others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by others. Provides analytic and diagnostic services or uses highest level technical skills which noticeably affect work results. Reports to Student Financial Aid and Services within Student Success.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties and activities that support Student Financial Aid (SFA) by maintaining accurate records, resolving financial aid issues, and providing guidance to students and families on available funding sources and eligibility, including grants, loans, work‑study programs, and scholarships.
• Review financial aid information and documentation, organize and input data used and analyzed by others.
• Update, maintain, review, and correct highly sensitive data with U.S. Department of Education federal sites, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations through accurate documentation.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex student issues, research and provide resolutions, and conduct financial aid workshops or one‑on‑one counseling sessions.
• Support the SFA’s operational needs, including occasional work outside regular hours and on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; at least one year of related experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; two years of full‑time directly related experience; bilingual ability.

Pay

Hourly position; funding source: Hard Money.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week.
• Standard hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Occasional Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and when needed until 7:00 p.m.
• Willing to work at any of the five Alamo Colleges or District Office locations.
