Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full student accounts lifecycle, including tuition billing, payment processing, account reconciliation, collections, and reporting for a large student population.
- Maintain accurate tuition, payment, and financial records while coordinating billing for additional student services.
- Monitor outstanding balances, prepare accounts receivable reports, and oversee collection efforts, including liaison with third-party agencies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families regarding tuition, payment plans, billing inquiries, and account activity.
- Support annual enrollment and re-enrollment by preparing agreements, tracking deposits, and reporting enrollment activity.
- Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist with audits, and generate financial and enrollment reports.
- Administer the full financial aid process, including application review, award support, appeals, reporting, and ongoing family communication.
- Evaluate financial aid processes and systems, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and the applicant experience.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting, reconciliation, and financial analysis skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential information.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills with a collaborative, professional approach.
- Experience in an educational or nonprofit environment is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with student billing and financial aid systems such as Blackbaud NXT, TADS, Clarity, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Pay
Compensation: $100,000-115,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
