About the role

The Wealth Planning Associate plays a key role in supporting advisors and delivering comprehensive financial planning to clients. This position is designed for individuals who are looking to deepen their planning expertise while developing client relationship and advisory skills within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist advisors in developing comprehensive financial plans
  • Research and prepare planning strategies related to tax, estate, insurance, and investment planning
  • Participate in client meetings, including note-taking, planning discussions, and follow-up actions
  • Support advisors in complex planning and client situations
  • Create client review materials and service deliverables
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations for client review meetings
  • Utilize financial planning software to model scenarios and evaluate outcomes
  • Support ongoing client needs through planning updates and service coordination
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and advisor efficiency
  • Maintain confidentiality of client financial and personal information

Requirements

  • Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Ability to handle sensitive client situations with professionalism
  • Experience with financial planning software and scenario modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn CRM and firm-specific technology platforms
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a wealth management or financial services role
  • Series 7 and Series 66 required (may be obtained within the first six months of employment)
  • CFP® designation in progress, or a commitment to begin working toward the CFP® designation
  • Insurance licenses required (Life, Health, Fixed and Variable Annuities) and may be obtained on the job
  • Additional designations and certifications may be required

  • Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.
