Financial Advisor Trainee - Manchester, New Hampshire
Work Location: Manchester, New Hampshire, United States of America. Hours: 40 per week. Pay range: $25.75 - $38.50 USD.
About the role
This role is intended to be a transitional role where, in addition to the responsibilities below, you will learn the requisite skills to qualify for an Advisor role within our advisor job family in the expected time frame. Once the Trainee program is complete, you will transition into an Advisor role and will need to attract and retain clients by addressing their wealth management advisory needs.
As an Advisor, you will be a fiduciary and will put the client's financial interests first when providing ongoing objective financial advice, long-term retirement planning, and annual reviews to determine if there have been changes in the client’s financial status or goals or the need for different strategies or products. You will be responsible for all aspects of developing and maintaining client relationships by providing ongoing consultation, advice, planning, and day-to-day account servicing.
Once assigned a territory, you will educate and coach Retail Store staff to identify referral prospects and engage key partners across the organization as appropriate. You will rely on relationship-building skills and the ability to influence to develop your client base and meet assigned goals.
Responsibilities
- Obtain the requisite set of skills to qualify for an Advisor role within a specified time frame.
- Actively call and meet with TD Bank customers and prospects to deepen customer relationships, assist with customer service issues, and identify customer financial needs.
- Utilize a financial needs assessment tool to identify annuity and insurance sales opportunities as well as referral opportunities to TD Wealth businesses and affiliates.
- Meet insurance agency requirements, policies, and procedures to effectuate annuity and insurance sales, including for qualified accounts in compliance with all TD Wealth policies and procedures.
- Recommend and provide direct sales and fulfillment of insurance and annuity solutions where suitable.
- Provide TD Bank employees with information and education on wealth products and service offerings, including training on annuities and insurance products.
- Provide sales training on annuity and insurance offerings for TD Bank licensed insurance agents.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with insurance and annuity clients and refer to TD Wealth businesses and affiliates based on customer wants and needs.
- Be responsible for all aspects of insurance and annuity business in your region, including sales and renewal processes, application intake, delivery, and other servicing needs.
- Maintain close relationships with insurance companies to achieve excellent customer service.
- Develop a detailed understanding of products and services offered within TD Wealth businesses and affiliates to make appropriate referrals for each customer.
- Maintain expert knowledge of annuity and insurance products, local market, competitive offers, economic, and regulatory trends.
- Ensure accurate and complete reporting as required by management.
- Meet regularly with Retail Bank employees to educate them on annuity and insurance products and offerings from TD Wealth businesses and affiliates.
- Understand and support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy.
- Consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.
- Provide the highest level of customer service when dealing with internal partners, vendors, or customers.
- Model quality service delivery at every interaction.
- Lead and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the partner/customer experience.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
- 1+ years of relevant work experience or a college degree.
- SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) required.
- Ability to obtain Life & Health, Series 7, and Series 66 (or equivalent) licenses within the required timeframe.
- Self-directed with a strong ability to plan activities to achieve sales and referral goals.
- General understanding of wealth products and services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel to FA training class upon obtaining all required licenses and registration.
- Ability to commute to assigned office for in-person training and studying five days a week.
