Overview
In this role, you will assist members and new clients in achieving their financial goals by assessing their needs, developing investment strategies, and providing personalized service and products.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and evaluates customer needs for financial services, assesses objectives and goals, and develops investment strategies.
- Analyzes client financial information, investment objectives, and determines the best financial products for individual clients.
- Collects client financial information, investment objectives, and goals, advises customers on financial products, and conducts periodic reviews of existing client accounts.
- Maintains regular meetings with clients to review and update their needs, ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan.
- Stays updated on market conditions and educates clients about financial and investment vehicles, as well as the tax and securities consequences of investments.
- Attends training and completes required continuing education to stay current on investment products and services.
- Trains branch employees, identifies cross-sell opportunities, supports product launches, and markets financial services.
- Works with Financial Center Managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities, and supports company mission and values.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-year degree in finance, business, or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the financial services field, with related member service experience helpful.
- Proficient in MS applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Excellent working knowledge of financial institution products and services, life insurance, annuity, and securities products.
- Proficient in operational procedures related to member accounts.
- Strong practical understanding of general economic principles relating to all aspects of personal finance.
- FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses required.
- Must disclose any criminal history with broker/dealer and comply with FINRA Books and Records rule.
- Ability to read, perform arithmetic operations, see details, recognize errors, present information effectively, work within precise limits of accuracy, follow instructions, be tactful and patient, communicate effectively, work in stressful situations, be flexible, and have patience, empathy, and tact.
Target Base Pay
