About the role
San Francisco Federal (SFF) is a credit union with over 43,000 members and assets exceeding $1.3 billion, serving branches in San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, and Contra Costa Counties. Seeking a Financial Advisor for the Golden Gate location in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to our members, providing personalized investment and insurance guidance within the branch network.
- Empower members to make confident financial decisions by understanding their unique needs and values.
- Build long-term relationships based on trust and world-class service.
- Take a consultative, goals-based approach to understand members’ financial needs and recommend personalized investment, retirement, and insurance solutions.
- Deepen existing member relationships and develop new opportunities through referrals, networking, and community engagement.
- Partner with members at every stage of their financial journey, collaborating with Branch Managers, Universal Bankers, and other member-facing teams.
- Develop relationships with local centers of influence and host financial education seminars, workshops, and branch events.
- Deliver a world-class member experience through responsive, proactive service that builds long-term trust and loyalty.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and regulatory compliance while safeguarding members' best interests.
- Achieve individual sales and business development goals while contributing to the continued growth and mission of the credit union.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of investment sales experience.
- High school diploma.
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Series 7, 63 and 65 or 66 registrations; active state life insurance license.
- Registration with state insurance must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Broad knowledge of investment, insurance, and financial planning solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire member confidence and build lasting relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and broker-dealer platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial Institution experience.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
