About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join our collaborative wealth management team. In this role, the advisor will meet both in-person and remotely with clients as their financial advisor. They will serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned group of high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families. Working within our ensemble practice, the advisor will develop customized financial planning strategies, lead client meetings, and collaborate closely with fellow advisors, paraplanners, client service associates, and our investment management team to deliver exceptional fiduciary advice.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a support advisor role as the primary relationship manager for an assigned group of client relationships.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client's goals, values, and evolving financial circumstances.
  • Participate in client review meetings and planning discussions while delivering thoughtful, objective financial guidance.
  • Analyze financial information, including tax returns, estate planning documents, retirement plans, investment accounts, insurance coverage, and employee benefits.
  • Identify planning opportunities involving retirement, tax efficiency, estate planning, charitable giving, risk management, cash flow, education funding, and wealth transfer and communicate those to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients' CPAs, attorneys, insurance professionals, and other outside advisors to assist with implementation of planning strategies.
  • Partner with the investment management team to integrate investment strategies into each client's comprehensive financial plan.
  • Utilize Salesforce, Moneytree, eMoney, Holistiplan, Vanilla, Addepar, and other firm technology to develop planning analyses and maintain accurate client records.
  • Document client meetings, recommendations, and follow-up activities in accordance with firm policies.
  • Contribute to Berman McAleer’s collaborative ensemble culture through teamwork, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.

Requirements

  • CFP® designation preferred but not required. Ideal candidates will either hold the CFP® designation, be actively pursuing it, or have completed substantial CFP® coursework and be committed to continuing towards this certification.
  • Two or more years of experience providing comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals and families preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable reviewing tax returns and coordinating planning strategies with clients' CPAs, estate planning attorneys, and other outside professionals.
  • Experience utilizing financial planning and CRM software. Knowledge of Moneytree, eMoney, Salesforce, Addepar, Holistiplan, Vanilla or similar platforms is preferred, but not required.
