Edward Jones emphasizes an innovative, flexible, and inclusive culture where associates are seen, heard, respected, and supported.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, speaking engagements).
  • Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies.
  • Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired results.
  • Create a highly engaging branch environment of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • At least one of the following:
    • A bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred) or equivalent work‑related experience in the securities/financial services industry.
    • Financial services and/or sales experience.
    • Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.
    • Professional and/or military career progression.
  • Licensing: SIE (obtainable without firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 required; FINRA registrations must be obtained within three months; state insurance licenses required.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and continuing‑education requirements to keep licenses in good standing.
  • Demonstrated ambition, self‑motivation, and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
  • Interest in financial services/markets, love of learning, strong relationship‑building skills, critical thinking ability, and passion for new opportunities.

Benefits

  • Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Voluntary benefits such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness insurance.
  • Disability income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage at no cost to advisors.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options.
  • Flexible schedule with paid sick leave and paid time off where required by law.
  • Eligibility for bonuses, profit sharing, paid medical and parental leave (subject to eligibility), and the firm’s Travel Award Program.
  • Employee Assistance Program for all associates.

Compensation

The financial advisor compensation program includes trainee pay, a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and compensation for new assets gathered during the first five years. The supplemental starting salary range is $45,000 – $100,000, with the potential for additional earnings through commissions, profit sharing, and incentive travel as performance improves.
