About the Role
This position is responsible for assisting the Wealth Advisor in the development and support of prospective and existing customers. You will lead branch initiatives, organize workflow, handle client questions, solve problems, work independently, and take initiative in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Self-motivation, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a team atmosphere are essential.
Responsibilities
- Direct Client Support
- Develop and cultivate effective relationships with newly referred prospects and existing members.
- Prioritize the needs of members/clients and respond to inquiries in person, electronically, or via phone.
- Conduct discovery interviews to understand clients’ financial circumstances, objectives, and goals.
- Under the Wealth Advisor’s direction, determine suitable client segmentation and recommendations based on individual situations.
- Nurture, grow, and manage client relationships by offering advice, portfolio recommendations, and assessing risk tolerance.
- Oversee the Financial Associate to ensure thorough research and resolution of operational issues, adhering to customer, company, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the accuracy of the Financial Associates’ processing of client account transactions and requests.
- Act compliantly and ethically in all business and client interactions, adhering to broker-dealer policies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current markets, firm products, and strategic partner offerings.
- Proactively uncover, increase, and maintain client assets, consolidating accounts where appropriate.
- Participate in daily meetings with the Wealth Advisor for support and guidance.
- Direct Team Support
- Generate leads through branch partnerships, referrals, seminars, trade shows, workplace partnerships, and outbound calls.
- Handle daily sales and branch needs while adhering to compliance and regulatory policies.
- Foster strong relationships with assigned Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers.
- Schedule branch meetings in coordination with team members and branch managers.
- Work with the assigned Vice President on joint cases exceeding assigned limits.
- Organize client information prior to appointments and prepare proposals.
- Prepare and maintain required documents for new and existing member accounts.
- Implement and maintain the CRM system to office standards for departmental efficiency.
- Develop branch activities with other Associate Advisors, Vice Presidents, and Sales Assistants.
- Provide additional support to non-assigned advisors in other offices as needed.
- Assist in delivering marketing and referral initiatives for branches.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver client/prospect events, advisor seminars, and branch education efforts.
- Administer sales operations, prioritizing ever-changing activities and responsibilities.
- Recommend procedural changes to optimize customer experience and efficiency.
- Contact financial partners for support of branch activities/rewards per regulatory guidelines.
- Present a professional image in all interactions.
- Compliance and Regulation
- Responsible for all compliance procedures in a highly regulated environment per broker-dealer policies.
- Comply with industry regulations and stay current on changing requirements.
- Participate in and coordinate branch office internal and external audits.
- Maintain all licensing continuing education requirements.
- Maintain logs and files per broker-dealer policies.
- Immediately report all customer complaints to management and broker-dealer compliance.
Requirements
- Education and Training
- High School diploma required; College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct wealth management experience or 7 years of experience with a Bank or Credit Union.
- Current Series 7, Series 63, and Health, Life, and Variable State Insurance licensing required; Series 65 must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Clear CRD report with no reported incidents of concern; any incidents must be disclosed upon application.
- Report any current or new outside business activities to the broker-dealer.
- Solid knowledge, understanding, and experience in the investment industry, including financial markets, personal investing, wealth management, equity, debt, insurance products, trusts, Power-of-Attorney, estate processing, and financial planning.
- Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of products, procedures, and regulations related to securities, including mutual funds, annuities, equities, advisory/managed accounts, REITs, ETFs, UITs, and qualified plans.
- Successfully complete annual Firm Element, Continuing Education, and other required training.
- Proven experience with technology and software platforms, including Redtail, Excel, Word, eMoney, and Money Guide Pro.
- Participate in broker-dealer and financial partner conference calls, webinars, and RegEd training to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Monitor trends in social media for business opportunities.
- Attend training seminars to enhance professional expertise and personal development.
