Financial Advisor
Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately five to six new client meetings each week with warm, prequalified prospects
- Lead prospective clients through a consultative two- to three-meeting onboarding process
- Review financial plans prepared by the firm’s dedicated planning team before presenting recommendations
- Evaluate each client’s financial goals, retirement needs, risk tolerance and investment priorities
- Present solutions involving managed assets, stocks, bonds, ETFs, annuities, insurance and other planning strategies based on client needs
- Build credibility with pre-retirees and retirees, with an average client relationship of approximately $1 million
- Convert qualified prospects into new clients while working toward a 30% closing ratio
- Deliver a polished, confident, and educational client experience
- Partner with schedulers, client service associates, processors and planning professionals to ensure seamless onboarding
- Maintain accurate client and opportunity information within the firm’s systems
- Follow the firm’s proven advisory, sales and client service processes
- Transition established client relationships to service advisors for ongoing annual reviews as the book of business grows
- Consistently meet performance goals and key performance indicators
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor
- Proven experience closing new client business
- Active Series 65 license
- Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills
- Confidence presenting complex financial strategies in a clear, compelling way
- Able to command a room while remaining humble and receptive to coaching
- Self-motivated, competitive and results-oriented mindset
- Intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to learn the firm’s established process
- Able to accept feedback, adjust quickly, and execute consistently
- Commitment to working fully on-site in Fort Myers
- Availability to accommodate an occasional evening client appointment
- Degree not required when supported by relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Active insurance license
- CFP designation
- Experience with Wealthbox, Nitrogen/Riskalyze, eMoney or Schwab’s custodial platform
- Background with an independent advisory firm, wealth management organization or insurance-based financial services company
- Former collegiate athlete or military experience
