About the role

Horace Mann seeks a mission-driven Financial Advisor to serve K-12 educators and school employees. In this role, you'll provide personalized guidance on insurance, retirement, and investment solutions, helping clients protect assets and plan for long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial planning and insurance guidance to K-12 educators and school employees
• Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses and retirement reviews
• Recommend appropriate auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products
• Develop and manage a growing book of business within school communities
• Prospect, network, and participate in school and community events to generate leads
• Ensure all recommendations and documentation comply with regulatory and company standards
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and follow-up communications for clients
• Use CRM and financial planning tools to track activities, pipelines, and client portfolios
• Collaborate with internal underwriting, service, and product teams to support clients
• Stay current on industry trends, product updates, and regulatory changes
