About the role

Horace Mann seeks a mission-driven Financial Advisor to serve K-12 educators and school employees. In this client-facing role, you'll provide holistic guidance on insurance and retirement solutions, including auto, home, life, supplemental coverage, and investment products. Responsibilities include prospecting within the education community, conducting needs-based financial reviews, presenting tailored recommendations, and supporting long-term planning. You'll collaborate with internal partners, maintain accurate records, and stay current on industry regulations while delivering high-integrity, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial advice to K-12 educators and school employees
• Conduct needs-based assessments for insurance and retirement planning
• Recommend tailored auto, home, life, supplemental, and retirement products
• Develop and manage a portfolio of educator clients through prospecting and referrals
• Hold client meetings, reviews, and educational workshops within school communities
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate client records and prepare required documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated financial and insurance solutions
• Stay current on market trends, product updates, and best practices
• Support Horace Mann's mission and community involvement initiatives
