Finance Transformation Manager

As a Finance Transformation Manager, you’ll drive business process analysis, requirements definition, cost and cycle-time remediation, and change management to ensure client success. Collaborate with our Transformation Practice to help clients optimize finance and operations functions, design sustainable models, and streamline operations while complying with business needs. This role focuses on Finance Process Optimization to achieve meaningful business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-focused solutions by understanding strategy, operations, and management across multiple functional areas.
• Perform engagement management, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, financials, quality review, and client management.
• Leverage consulting and industry experience to help companies set and achieve long-term goals.
• Analyze and design effective solutions for diverse client issues.
• Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and thought leadership.
• Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
• Maintain strong client relationships and work effectively with all levels of client management and staff.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to promptly resolve client problems or issues.
• Manage, develop, train, coach, and mentor staff, including performance assessments for engagements and year-end reviews.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of work-related experience in a consulting role serving cross-industry clients at a national level, or equivalent Finance function role(s) within industry.
• Industry-recognized professional certification required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases.
• Experience in process analysis, reporting & business intelligence, data analysis & reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of Close-the-books, Chart-of-Accounts, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis & Financial Benchmarking.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is between $147,200 and $196,880. Placement within the range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion and based on factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.

About the Team

The team offers flexibility in work location, weekly schedule, and flex time off, empowering you to work in ways that best serve your clients and personal life. This position requires in-person attendance at least three days per week, either at a Grant Thornton office or client site.
