Finance Transformation Analyst

About the role

The Finance Transformation Analyst is a key partner to the Finance organization, responsible for configuring Workday Adaptive Planning models, troubleshooting data flows, and exploring AI-driven efficiencies to streamline monthly reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Aid in maintaining, configuring, and continuously improving Workday Adaptive Planning, including integrations between Adaptive Planning and Workday Financials.
• Review Workday's biannual Adaptive Planning releases to assess impact on current models and roll out valuable new updates and features to the team.
• Leverage predictive forecaster tools within Adaptive Planning to shift forecasting from historical trends to predictive modeling.
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to gather business requirements and deliver Workday configuration solutions, using AI tools to automate data reconciliation and streamline manual processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Workday Financials, integrations, and third-party connected systems.
• Manage support tickets and project tasks through a defined intake and prioritization process, communicating status and expectations proactively to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science.
• 0-2 years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst capacity.
• Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or Google Gemini) and an understanding of how they can be applied to automate financial analysis or data preparation.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple open requests and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a track record of building trusted relationships with Finance business partners.
• Understanding of core finance and accounting concepts (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management).
