About the role
The US Finance Specialist will play a central role in shaping the financial future of sunday. You’ll own core financial operations, from accounts payables & receivables to budgeting and forecasting US performance against key metrics. You’ll act as an operational expert for the US team financials, prepare monthly financial reviews, and provide entry‑level analyses for the US leadership team. Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Operations Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring financial reports and KPI analysis covering revenue, expenses, collections, margins, and operational performance.
- Financial Projects and Budget Analysis: Support new finance initiatives, including expense‑versus‑budget comparisons, monthly reporting processes, process improvements, and automation.
- Financial Operations: Manage invoice processing, customer billing, payment tracking, vendor and customer communication, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: Work with leadership and department heads (Sales, Marketing, Field Ops, People) to translate strategy into numbers and numbers into strategy. Act as a thought partner to teams, helping them understand financial implications and optimize resource allocation.
- Operational excellence: Build scalable financial processes and tools as sunday grows across multiple markets. Ensure data quality and integrity in reporting and analysis.
- Account Reconciliation and Month‑End Close: Complete monthly reconciliations and support the close process by assisting accountants with accruals, preparing journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 1‑3 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role, ideally in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment; prior exposure to FinTech is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with month‑end budget analyses.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into clear, actionable messages for diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, solutions‑driven mindset, consistently taking initiative and going beyond expectations.
- Fluent in English.
Compensation & Benefits
