Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Match invoices to contracts, approvals, and rate schedules. Maintain organized AP records for audit purposes. Resolve vendor discrepancies and respond to inquiries. Prepare and process weekly payment runs.
- Accounting Support: Assist with month-end close activities (accruals, reconciliations). Support general ledger review and variance analysis. Maintain financial documentation and schedules. Assist with bank and account reconciliations. Support preparation of financial reports.
- Rate Management & Financial Analysis: Maintain and update payer and program rate tables. Support rate-setting through modeling and financial analysis. Implement updated rates following contract changes. Monitor systems for rate discrepancies and resolve issues. Provide reporting support for payer negotiations.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure compliance with internal controls and funding requirements. Assist with internal and external audits. Maintain audit-ready financial documentation.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Contracts, Operations, and Leadership teams. Support budget tracking and expense monitoring. Assist with special finance projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or finance support roles
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, reconciliations, tracking)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and PHI information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or Medicaid-funded environments
- Familiarity with contracts, reimbursement models, or payer rate structures
- Experience supporting audits or financial reviews
