Finance Project Manager

About the role

The Finance Project Manager will oversee financial and procurement services for a large Federal agency initiative. They will perform and oversee financial/procurement services, interact with Government Case Managers and other DOJ agency staff, ensure processes and procedures are followed, manage a small team of financial analysts, and train staff on entering and updating data in proprietary databases.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee processing workflows in the Office of Financial and Procurement Services
  • Perform and oversee financial/procurement services
  • Frequent contact with Government Case Managers and other DOJ agency staff
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed
  • Oversee a small team of financial analysts
  • Perform an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time
  • Train staff on entering and updating data in proprietary databases

Requirements

  • At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience in financial systems
  • Proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical support activities simultaneously
  • Expert knowledge of Finance Systems including SAS
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent management skills
  • Knowledge of the Government's data processing environment in which the work is to be performed, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, and internet and server-based databases and other applications
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
  • Undergraduate degree, law degree desirable

Qualifications
