Responsibilities
- Ensure AP, AR, Procurement, and Commission processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with GAAP requirements.
- Calculate, validate, and process commissions accurately based on sales and business data.
- Oversee AP, AR, and Commission system and process changes, ensuring proper testing and validation.
- Analyze AP, AR, and Commissions data to support informed decision-making across the business.
- Lead initiatives to implement a procurement function at Trupanion.
- Partner cross-functionally to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and support cash forecasting and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting or finance operations experience, including AP, AR, and Commission processes
- Experience supporting 1099 processing, annual filings, and state reporting requirements, including Unclaimed Property, preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with Workday or other ERP systems preferred
