About the role
Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to support operational and functional leaders. This role is part of a team committed to operational and financial excellence within Amazon’s complex retail network, which delivers billions of packages annually. The NACFinance team provides cost controllership, ROI analysis, and financial insights to drive defect reduction and process improvements across the supply chain. The role requires navigating ambiguity, thinking big, and simplifying processes to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end financial planning cycles, including forecast modeling, bridging, network partnership, and presentations to senior leadership.
- Perform financial validations for projects to ensure accurate return-on-investment insights.
- Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data to create reports that drive business improvement and defect cost reduction strategies.
- Perform root cause analysis to uncover core issues and assist operational stakeholders in improving productivity measures.
- Invent and simplify processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs related to defect expenses.
- Deliver scalable solutions to better understand end-to-end costs and identify new improvement opportunities.
- Communicate complex financial data clearly and concisely, adjusting style based on audience, to articulate issues and solutions.
- Build effective partnerships with senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance on cost strategy and goals.
- Challenge business partner plans and assumptions when necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, tax, or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
- 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges through accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven business impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
Pay
- USA, TN, Nashville: $85,900.00 - $146,900.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Irving: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
