Finance Manager, US Non-Sort Operations Finance

About the role

Amazon's North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to serve as a trusted finance partner for USNS Controllership. This role operates within Amazon's complex retail network, which delivers billions of packages annually. The USNS Controllership team focuses on financial close, executive reporting, and operational accountability across Amazon's US Non-Sort fulfillment network. You will own the Monthly Business Review (MBR) cycle, drive site-level accountability, and build scalable mechanisms, automated reporting tools, and AI-assisted workflows to enhance financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Own the USNS MBR cycle, coordinating cross-functional inputs, building executive summaries, and delivering leadership-ready reporting packages to VP and Senior Finance leadership on cadence.
• Partner with Operations, Site Leaders, and General Managers to ensure budget adherence and proactively surface variance issues before they escalate.
• Design, build, and scale automated reporting mechanisms and AI-assisted workflows that improve the speed, accuracy, and accessibility of financial insights across the controllership function.
• Use financial knowledge and business acumen to build analyses, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, independently aligning with business partners and challenging assumptions when necessary.

About the team

This role partners closely with leaders across Finance, Operations, HR, and Accounting, serving as a financial advocate and controllership anchor for the USNS network. The work you build—reports, tools, and mechanisms—directly supports leadership in managing a large-scale cost base. There is significant opportunity to modernize controllership processes at Amazon's scale, and this role is positioned to lead that evolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root causes, and creating/implementing escalation plans.
• 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that drive measurable impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.

• USA, TX, Irving: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Bellevue: $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually
